Customer Reviews

We enjoyed the elephant walk and we recommend other visitors to the area to support the elephant sanctuary. The only part we felt uncomfortable with was the when we stopped for photos....it became a bit like a circus act. My message to the owners would be that we are happy to pay money to get close to these amazing creatures, to walk along side them....its enough for a great experience. We don't need the 'smile for the camera' as the guide gets the elephant to lift its front leg and then its back leg. - Graham Cooper

We had such an amazing time. I had been looking forward to this experience so much and it did not disappoint in any way. Took home the video which actually brought a tear to my eye. All the handlers are so passionate with the elephants. - Julia Baker

My mom and I did the hand in trunk elephant experience and it was beyond amazing. We were lucky enough to have booked a time slot in the morning where we were the only two people so it was like a private session. It was fabulous to learn about the elephants and get to feed and interact with them. The guides and elephant handlers were superb!! Fabulous experience!! - Tarryn Liddell

My time at the sanctuary was indescribable. The staff were friendly and informative. They went over and above to make us feel at home and at ease. It feels as though I made a friend in Marula and as long as I live I will never forget the beauty and grace of her. Thank you to everyone that make the sanctuary such a fantastic place! Much love. We arrived at the Sanctuary and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. Our tour guide was fantastic ~ he was informative throughout and told us how the elephants got to be there in the first place. We not only enjoyed the very fortunate experience of walking trunk in hand with the elephants (whose manners were impeccable) but also learned so much about them, their make-up and their behaviour. Elephants are the most amazing animals ~ it was our complete honour to spend time with them and thank to team there for allowing it to be possible. A huge thank you to them first and foremost for saving and caring for these magnificent animals. - Darin & Lesley Wilson-Brown
